With 1,500 spots, CECIERJ launches a free online training in Special and Inclusive Education for teachers, starting March 18.
The CECIERJ Foundation has opened applications until March 15, 2026, for its free Special and Inclusive Education training course. The program targets basic education professionals who wish to enhance their skills for inclusive teaching practices aimed at students with disabilities and specific educational needs.
“The course was designed to fill an urgent demand for qualification in the basic education network, offering 1,500 slots and 180 hours of deep training,” said Vittorio Lo Bianco, Head of Graduate Studies at CECIERJ’s Extension Directorate.
Fully online, the course includes reading materials, videos, and weekly assignments in a flexible virtual environment. Four live sessions will be held throughout the year, allowing closer interaction between participants and mentors.
At the end of the program, participants must present an individual final project in person, based on their inclusive teaching experiences. Certification will vary: those holding a degree will receive an Advanced Training certificate, while others will receive a Qualification in Special and Inclusive Education.
The syllabus covers public policies and legislation on inclusion, accessibility, assistive technology, alternative communication, and teaching strategies for students with visual, hearing, physical, and intellectual disabilities, as well as autism (ASD). The selection results will be announced on March 18, the same day classes begin.
