Children’s book “Mergulho Mágico – Guardiões dos Oceanos” launches in Rio

Kids’ book “Mergulho Mágico – Guardiões dos Oceanos” debuts with free event, theatre and book distribution.

The children’s book “Mergulho Mágico – Guardiões dos Oceanos”, written by cultural producer Ana Brites, will be launched on November 17, Monday, at 10:30 a.m., at the Biblioteca Parque Estadual in downtown Rio de Janeiro. The free event brings together literature, art and environmental education to inspire young readers to care for the oceans.

Featuring illustrations by Ná Gabrich, the book uses vibrant colors and an engaging narrative to spark children’s imagination. The launch includes an original theatrical performance that encourages kids to become guardians of the oceans and protect the planet.

Throughout November, Ana Brites will visit 10 public spaces in Rio de Janeiro to distribute free copies of the book. With more than 30 years dedicated to cultural projects, she emphasizes the importance of expanding access to reading and sustainability awareness.

The initiative adopts an edutainment approach, combining education and entertainment to nurture environmental responsibility in a playful and engaging way. “A poetic and joyful journey through the marine world,” says the author.

The book reinforces a commitment to culture, environmental education and social inclusion, using art as a bridge between enchantment and transformation. According to Ana, learning can be an adventure that inspires a new generation to care for nature.

Synopsis
