Curated by Vivianne Lisboa, Festival Delas takes over Rua do Relógio on March 7–8 with free live shows by women artists.
Nova Friburgo’s Rua do Relógio will turn into a hub for female talent this weekend. The Festival Delas celebrates International Women’s Day with a lineup that showcases the richness and variety of women’s voices in Brazilian music.
Female voices in focus
The festival is organized by Casa da Serra Carioca, Feitoria Cozinha, Empório Brew, Drink Deli, and Coração Pastéis, with support from Arp. This collective effort highlights the importance of female presence and leadership in the city’s cultural landscape.
Saturday’s lineup (March 7) includes Noelle Cereja, Carol Breder (former The Voice Kids contestant), Iris performing a tribute to Cássia Eller, and Vivianne Lisboa. On Sunday (March 8), As Meninas do Folia, Talissa with Vai Virar Samba, and As Lumiarinas wrap up the weekend with vibrant performances.
Purpose and curation
“Curating this festival was, above all, an exercise in listening and recognition. It was about building a stage that reflects the diversity and power of women in music,” said Vivianne Lisboa.
Vivianne, a well-known singer-songwriter from Rio’s mountain region, sees the event as part of a broader movement to connect and empower women artists. “This was about honoring those who came before and creating space for those still to come. It’s not just a celebration of talent but of freedom and creativity,” she added.
