On March 18, up to 350 women can learn to use artificial intelligence in their businesses — for free, at Bangu Shopping’s theater in Rio.
Bangu Shopping, managed by Allos, is marking Women’s Month with a concrete push for female entrepreneurship in Rio’s West Zone. The mall is combining tech education and local commerce in two simultaneous initiatives designed to create real opportunities for women who run or want to start small businesses.
Favela IA: AI tools made accessible
On March 18, the mall’s theater hosts the free course Favela IA – Entrepreneurship and Innovation, from 5:30 PM to 8 PM. The program offers 350 spots, available through an online registration form.
The curriculum is hands-on: participants learn how artificial intelligence tools can be applied to managing, marketing, and scaling small businesses. The initiative aims to close the tech access gap for women who already run ventures or are building one from scratch.
Empodera Ela brings local women-led brands together
Running alongside the course, the Empodera Ela collaborative store turns the mall into a platform for women-led brands from the neighborhood. This edition features @stylelifeskull, @pathy.jeans, @ateliecosentinodecoracao, @geminianashop, @bambaraoficial, and @zaya.oficial_.
The brands offer original products across fashion, accessories, and home décor — giving entrepreneurs a retail showcase that many small businesses rarely have access to on their own.
Together, both initiatives reflect the mall’s investment in the socioeconomic development of its community, turning Women’s Month into a springboard for lasting impact through training, innovation, and visibility.
