Ser Educacional, which oversees UNINASSAU, UNAMA, UNG, and UNIFAEL, hosts the online panel “From Recife to the Oscars: O Agente Secreto in Debate” this Thursday (26) at 4 p.m. The event brings together renowned film professionals to explore the cultural and industry impact of the Brazilian film’s four Oscar nominations.

Participants will analyze the current landscape of global cinema and the growing presence of Brazilian productions in international awards. The meeting also aims to connect students and professionals, fostering both academic learning and creative insights.

“Our goal is to see cinema not only as entertainment but as a cultural, social, and economic tool capable of projecting Brazil to the world,” says Franthiesco Ballerini, professor and film critic.

The panel features Fabiana Pirro (actress of the film), Franthiesco Ballerini (professor and critic), Luciano Monteiro (filmmaker and cartoonist), and Luiz Joaquim (curator of the Cinemateca Pernambucana). The discussion will be streamed live on Ser Educacional’s official YouTube channel.
