Free event in Ipanema connects game developers and entrepreneurs with local showcases and an entrepreneurship panel.
This Saturday (March 21), Rio de Janeiro hosts Joga RJ, the first 2026 action by the ACJOGOS-RJ (Rio de Janeiro Game Creators Association). Taking place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Arca Hub by Sai do Papel, the event highlights local creations and promotes training for emerging talents in the game industry.
In addition to showcasing indie games made by Rio-based creators, Joga RJ features the panel “Games and Entrepreneurship”, led by Kwan Yin Gil, vice-president of ACJOGOS-RJ, with Raquel Gomes (Sebrae Games RJ) and Juliana Brito (Indie Hero). The discussion will explore the challenges and opportunities of Brazil’s growing game market.
“By combining game showcases and market discussions, we bring creators, entrepreneurs and the public closer, generating real opportunities for industry growth,” said Márcio Filho, president of ACJOGOS-RJ.
The initiative launches a series of free monthly meetings held every second Saturday, creating a consistent space for connection between game developers, companies and enthusiasts.
