On March 1st, Quinta da Boa Vista park hosts GO Tour: Kalos – Global, bringing legendary Pokémon, Mega Victreebel, Mega Malamar, and free entry for all Trainers.
Kalos Arrives in Rio de Janeiro
Pokémon GO wraps up February with a major celebration in Rio de Janeiro. The GO Tour: Kalos – Global event lands on March 1st at the iconic Quinta da Boa Vista park, one of the city’s most beloved landmarks, drawing Trainers from across Brazil and beyond.
The Kalos region, originally introduced in Pokémon X & Y, takes center stage in this augmented reality event. Trainers will have the chance to encounter and catch Pokémon native to Kalos, including the legendary duo Xerneas and Yveltal.
Special Pikachu and Brand-New Mega Evolutions
One of the event’s most charming highlights is the Pikachu wearing Serena and Calem’s hat — the protagonists of Pokémon X & Y — available exclusively during GO Tour. Fans will want to add this limited-edition form to their collections.
On the battle front, two brand-new Mega Evolutions make their Pokémon GO debut: Mega Victreebel and Mega Malamar. Both forms were introduced in the franchise’s latest title, Legends Z-A, and signal just the beginning of major updates coming to the game throughout 2026.
A Full Day of Activities at the Park
Beyond catching Pokémon, the event promises a rich on-site experience. Trainers can explore photo spots, pose with life-size Team Leader statues, join activities run by community ambassadors, and pick up free merchandise.
Notable Trainers will also be present, making it a milestone event for both longtime fans and newcomers stepping into the world of Pokémon for the first time.
The Whole Country Joins In
Can’t make it to Rio? No problem. On February 28th and March 1st, over 80 communities across Brazil are hosting local GO Tour: Kalos – Global meetups. Fans everywhere can play the event, meet community leaders, and celebrate alongside fellow Trainers.
