Mangueira hosts holiday feijoada on November 15 with shows by Karinah and Mumuzinho.
The traditional Feijoada da Estação Primeira de Mangueira will energize the November 15 holiday from 1 p.m. at the Palácio do Samba. Advance tickets are available on Sympla.
Singer Karinah is the main attraction with the show “Meu Samba”, presenting career hits such as “Verdade”, “Sou do Povo” and “Foi um Sonho”, her partnership with Zeca Pagodinho. Her repertoire includes tributes to iconic female samba voices like Dona Ivone Lara, Beth Carvalho, Alcione and Clara Nunes.
Karinah, recognized as a leading name in contemporary samba, has performed with artists such as Alcione, Xande de Pilares, Fundo de Quintal, Belo, Dudu Nobre and Zeca Pagodinho.
She will be accompanied on stage by the Banda da Madrinha, composed of musicians who played with Beth Carvalho, including Carlinhos 7 Cordas, Dirceu Leite, Marcio Vanderlei, Beloba, Tcha Tcha Tcha, Marcelo Pizotti and Alex.
The event also features a special performance by Mumuzinho. The opening acts are Grupo Samba do Xoxó and the Velha Guarda Musical da Mangueira. The finale will be presented by the bateria Tem que Respeitar Meu Tamborim.
Attendees can secure tickets in advance and choose the best option to enjoy the day.
For Carnival 2026, Mangueira will take to the Sapucaí the theme “Mestre Sacaca do Encanto Tucuju – O Guardião da Amazônia Negra”, developed by carnival designer Sidnei França. The theme opens the school’s centennial triad.
