Lapa Pride brings Jup do Bairro and Realleza

parada da lapa reune jup e realleza no rio featured

The Lapa LGBTQIAPN+ Pride 2026 takes over the iconic Arcos da Lapa on June 28, turning one of Rio’s most symbolic landmarks into a stage for culture, activism and celebration.

Now in its fourth edition, the event adopts the theme “Our Pride Is Also Defended at the Ballot Box”, highlighting its political dimension alongside artistic expression. The gathering starts at 2 PM and unfolds throughout the day with performances rooted in Brazil’s peripheral, Black and trans cultures.

Music lineup sets the tone

DJ Diego Duarte opens the program at 4 PM, followed by Azula at 5 PM, whose sound blends MPB, R&B, jazz and samba while addressing trans and Black experiences. The set also features Drag Fada do Beat.

At 6 PM, DJ Vitor Pires joins Pocket with a Black Music-driven set shaped by identity and rhythm, paving the way for a night of diverse performances.

Urban voices take center stage

The lineup expands with TUDOSOUL at 7:30 PM and Preta Queen B Rull at 7 PM, blending funk, voguing and urban sounds with strong stage presence.

At 8 PM, Izrra brings a sensual Black Music performance. Rising from a viral moment in 2016, the Baixada Fluminense artist has since performed at Rock in Rio and released the album “Coisas de Amor”.

Closing with standout names

Realleza performs at 8:30 PM with sharp lyrics and an Afrofuturist aesthetic. At 9 PM, Jup do Bairro closes the night, bringing a multidisciplinary approach that spans music, film and visual arts.

Awarded by APCA and Multishow, Jup continues to explore identity and body politics through her latest album “Juízo Final”.

Ballroom culture in focus

The event also features ballroom performances, including the Kiki Ball, rooted in a movement created in 1970s New York by Black and Latin LGBTQIAPN+ communities.

Categories like Voguing and Runway highlight expression and identity, with two competitions offering cash and surprise prizes.

Health and community care

The Grupo Pela Vidda will provide STI prevention materials, condoms, lubricant and rapid HIV testing, reinforcing the event’s commitment to care.

Organized by a coalition of collectives and social movements, the Pride aims to strengthen community ties and amplify visibility across Rio.
