The 21st Brazilian Witches and Wizards Convention returns to Paranapiacaba on May 29–31, exploring the dialogue between ancestral wisdom and modern womanhood.
Regarded as the largest esoteric gathering in Latin America, the event returns to the atmospheric Vila de Paranapiacaba, in the state of São Paulo, under the theme “Dialogue Between the Keepers of Knowledge and Modern Women” — a reflection on what happens when ancient wisdom meets contemporary life.
From a small gathering to 60,000 attendees
The convention was founded over two decades ago by witch and author Tânia Gori. It began as a modest group that gathered in Paranapiacaba for natural witchcraft practices, meditation, and connection with nature. At the time, locals watched with suspicion from a distance.
Over the years, the dynamic shifted. As residents witnessed the event’s focus on spirituality, culture, and respect, the community embraced it fully. Today, the convention draws more than 60,000 people per edition, boosts the local economy, and turns Paranapiacaba into one of Brazil’s most sought-after mystical destinations.
Three days of rituals, art, and ancestral practices
The official opening takes place on Friday, May 29, at 8 PM, with the iconic Procession of Lights departing from Locobrek and illuminating the village streets in one of the event’s most symbolic moments. Groups travel from across Brazil to take part in the three-day experience.
The program includes rituals, circular dances, spiritual workshops, ancestral practices, an esoteric fair, themed gastronomy, processions, and artistic performances that revive ancient traditions and long-forgotten knowledge.
The 2026 theme: bridging past and present
In an era defined by rapid technological change, many women feel an inner pull toward ancestral roots. The “Keepers of Knowledge” — healers, priestesses, midwives, and spiritual guardians — preserved centuries of wisdom about life, nature, and the unseen. Modern women, navigating careers, autonomy, and evolving identities, are now being invited into that lineage.
The convention proposes a reunion with essence, proving that tradition and contemporaneity can walk side by side.
Free entry and exclusive access passes
Most activities are free to attend. Exclusive workshops and experiences are available through the By Pass option, starting at R$ 95 per day. Pass holders choose between two special talismans: the Keepers of Knowledge Talisman or the Cosmic Talisman — symbolic objects charged for use throughout the event.
