Maria Gal celebrates 50 years at Maison Joá in a party that honors her role in “Carolina de Jesus” and highlights representation.
Actress Maria Gal celebrated her 50th birthday on Saturday, December 13, in a special event that also marked her participation in the film “Carolina de Jesus”, in which she portrays the iconic Brazilian writer. The party, designed by event planner Leco Biagioni, was conceived as a night of encounters, affection and representation.
The chosen venue was Maison Joá, a space that already conveys charm and sophistication. For this reason, the scenic proposal embraced subtlety. With few elements and a precise curatorship, Leco Biagioni highlighted the architecture of the house and created an emotional atmosphere through panels that recalled the personal and artistic trajectory of Maria Gal, connecting her past, present and future.
“I believe in parties that tell stories. This evening was born from the desire to look at Maria’s trajectory with care, respect and emotion. Every detail was conceived as a gesture of affection, a curatorship designed to celebrate memory, the present and everything she is still going to build,” says Leco Biagioni.
“Reaching 50 like this, surrounded by affection and launching such a powerful work, is deeply moving. I feel whole, crossed by many stories and ready to live this new cycle with even more awareness and dedication,” says Maria Gal.
Music, gastronomy and emotional experiences
The sensory experience of the evening also came through music, with DJ Bieta leading the dance floor and Banda Awurê delivering a powerful sound connected to ancestry and cultural diversity. Gastronomy was handled by the buffet curated by Sérgio Avelino, while the bar, under the responsibility of Guess Coquetelaria, completed the celebration with signature drinks.
Beyond the dance floor and gastronomy, the party offered experiences designed for the guests’ comfort and well-being. There were massage spaces and fondue, popcorn and açaí stations, signed by Romanos & Cia, reinforcing the emotional and sensory character of the celebration.
Symbolic cake and new phase
One of the highlights of the night was the cake table, created by Cake Garridos. The three-tier cake drew attention for its symbolic richness: it was adorned with photos that marked the actress’s journey, an excerpt from the book “Quarto de Despejo” and a delicate black rose. The dessert translated, in form and concept, the strength, elegance and ancestry that permeate the story of Maria Gal and the character she brings to the big screen.
At 50, Maria Gal is living a moment of full creative power and begins the journey of a work of great historical and cultural relevance, scheduled to premiere in 2026.
