Journalist Mylena Ciribelli joins Massa FM as Brazil’s largest popular radio network celebrates 20 years with a special event in Curitiba.
On Friday, March 27, Massa FM turned Curitiba into a stage for celebration. The broadcaster marked 20 years on air with a full-day program featuring talks, a tribute to founder Carlos Massa — widely known as Ratinho — and stories from those who built popular radio in Brazil.
The milestone also came with a major announcement. Veteran journalist Mylena Ciribelli, recognized for her distinctive voice and long career in Brazilian broadcasting, is joining the Massa FM team. Starting in May, she will lead “Mundial Massa”, the station’s dedicated coverage of the FIFA World Cup.
A return to roots
For Mylena, attending the 20th anniversary celebration was deeply personal. Watching fellow broadcasters speak passionately about radio took her back to the early days of her own career.
