Praia Para Todos: 18th Edition Backed by Windsor Hotels

18th edition of Praia Para Todos provides free beach activities in Rio for people with disabilities or reduced mobility, supported by Rede Windsor Hoteis.

Organized by Instituto Novo Ser, the program runs on Flamengo, Copacabana, Ipanema, Barra da Tijuca, and Recreio beaches. Free offerings feature sea baths and adaptive sports.

Inclusion on Rio’s beaches

Events continue through July 2026, weekends from 9am to 2pm. They boost independence, physical wellness, and social bonds for those with disabilities or limited mobility.

Flamengo (Post 3) features sea baths, handbikes, adaptive frescobol, kids’ pool, and seated volleyball. Copacabana (Posts 5-6) adds adaptive surfing.

Ipanema (Post 10) includes sea baths, frescobol, and surfing. Barra (Post 3) and Recreio (Posts 10-11) offer seated volleyball and kids’ pools.

States Vitor Almeida, Marketing Manager at Rede Windsor Hoteis. Over 18 years, it has served over 45,000 people. The 2024/2025 season drew 3,000 participants.

Notes Nena Gonzalez, Instituto Novo Ser founder. This edition involves 350 staff, including physiotherapists and volunteers. Sponsors feature the Federal Government and Michelin.
