With over 20 years in the beauty industry, makeup artist and image consultant Mari Botelho is hosting the workshop “Self-Makeup for Real Women” this Friday, April 17, at the events hall of Sushi Bar da Peixaria Divina Providência, in the Vila da Penha neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. Spots are limited, and registration is open on Sympla.

A self-makeup course that goes beyond the brushes

The workshop is part of the Mulheres Divinas (Divine Women) project and blends theory with hands-on practice. The goal is to teach accessible self-makeup techniques that highlight each person’s individual features — whether for everyday looks, professional settings, or special occasions.

The session runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Participants will learn a step-by-step versatile makeup routine and take home a curated list of essential everyday products.

“I’m so happy to share my knowledge with other Divine Women and contribute to each one’s self-esteem. More than a makeup course, this is a moment of self-discovery, connection, and exchange among women.” — Mari Botelho, makeup artist and image consultant

Sparkling wine, gifts, and photo moments

Beyond the technical content, the experience includes sparkling wine, special gifts, a professional photo session of participants after their makeover, and a discount voucher for the Peixaria Divina Providência Bar. It’s learning wrapped in celebration.
