The UnoDiverso 3 exhibition in Nova Friburgo hosts artist talks and a discussion with Débora Barbosa from the Lélia Gonzalez Collective.
The Resistência Artística Project promotes two special public events this November as part of the UnoDiverso 3 – Identity and Collectivity exhibition, currently on display at the Usina Cultural Energisa in Nova Friburgo. The activities include a talk with the seven featured artists and a roundtable discussion celebrating Black Awareness Month.
Meeting with the artists
On Saturday, November 15, at 3 p.m., visitors can join a free and open talk with artists Ágatha La Piedra, Camila Ribeiro, Catherine Vieira, Chris Salomão, Eris Luna, Maíra Sala and Wanessa Dábliu. The session will explore their creative processes, inspirations and experiences in the field of contemporary visual arts.
The exhibition, part of the third edition of the Resistência Artística Project, has already received over 1,200 visitors since its opening in October. The works highlight sensitivity, collectivity and feminine power in contemporary art, encouraging dialogue and reflection on identity and expression.
Black Awareness and ancestry
On Wednesday, November 19, at 6:30 p.m., the program continues with a roundtable led by Débora Barbosa, psychologist, master in Social Psychology and member of the Lélia Gonzalez Collective. The discussion will address art, ancestry and identity as forms of resistance and social transformation.
The UnoDiverso 3 – Identity and Collectivity exhibition runs until December 20, from Tuesday to Saturday, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Usina Cultural Energisa (Praça Getúlio Vargas, 55 – Centro, Nova Friburgo). Admission is free and open to all audiences.
