One of Brazil’s most exciting voices in gospel pagodão, Samuel Eleotério has been officially confirmed in the lineup for the first-ever edition of Marcha Para Jesus on Ilha do Governador, in Rio de Janeiro. The open-air celebration of faith takes place this Saturday, March 21, starting at 3 PM, at Praça da Freguesia.
A historic first for Guanabara Bay
Marcha Para Jesus is one of Brazil’s largest Christian marches, held annually in cities across the country. This marks the first time the event comes to Ilha do Governador, making it a milestone for the island’s faith community. Samuel Eleotério welcomed the news with excitement: “It’s a joy to be part of an event like this, especially in its very first edition. I’m certain it will be a special and meaningful moment for everyone,” he said.
On stage, Samuel will perform his celebrated “Corinhos de Fogo” set — a high-energy repertoire designed to connect with diverse audiences and spark deep spiritual moments.
A full day of gospel music and worship
The lineup extends well beyond the headline act. Also performing are: Jozyane, group Na Graça, Cristina Mel, Anderson Rangel, Paulo Neto, Samuel Messias, Carol Teodosio, Ana Paula Araújo, group Tá Nas Mãos de Deus, MAP choir, and Vitor Barreto.
The event will also feature the Shabak bench, the Avodah ministry, and a sermon by Renan Lopes. Hosting duties go to Cid Gonçalves. “It’s an honor to be part of this historic beginning. I believe everyone will leave with their faith strengthened,” Eleotério added.
