Two hectares of sunflowers set the scene for Brazil’s 2026 harvest season: Don Giovanni hosts its 4th Festa das Safras on Jan 24, with wine and food.
Summer in Pinto Bandeira, in Rio Grande do Sul’s Serra Gaúcha, comes with a signature postcard: sunflowers blooming around the vineyards just as the 2026 grape harvest begins. On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Vinícola Don Giovanni and the Nature restaurant welcome guests for the 4th edition of Festa das Safras, a celebration of wine, food, and harvest-time culture.
Running from 5 pm to 10 pm, the event is designed as an immersive vineyard experience, pairing Don Giovanni labels with cocktails, a chef-led menu, and live music timed to golden hour among the vines.
Sunflowers with a purpose
Beyond the photo-worthy scenery, the sunflowers play an important ecological role on the property. Planted around the vineyard blocks, they help draw insects away from the grapes, supporting the site’s ecosystem balance while enhancing the visitor experience.
What guests will find
The program includes two wine bars serving Don Giovanni still wines and sparkling wines. There will also be a dedicated cocktail station, with a bartender pouring Limoncello, Spritz, and Aperol Spritz throughout the afternoon.
On the food side, the menu features Thai-style chicken pastries with sweet chilli, caramelized onion and brie bruschetta, a breaded shrimp sandwich with wasabi mayo, duck and pancetta rice stew, penne with short-rib ragout, and artichoke risotto with buffalo mozzarella. Dessert brings roasted peaches with citrus whipped cream and crunchy meringue.
The menu is signed by chef Rafael Jacobi. Live music comes from Rafa Hass and The Cowboys, with a DJ keeping the pace as the sun sets over the vineyards.
