The panel “Tourism and Promotion – Events that Connect, Project, Create Trends, and Value Regional Vocations” stood out at Apresenta Summit 2025, held on Monday (Nov 24) at the Fairmont Hotel in Copacabana.
Participants included Marcelo Monfort (SETUR / Expo Rio Turismo), Roberta Kelab (Backstage / Festival Vale do Café), and Tatiana Zaccaro (GL Events / Bienal do Livro), moderated by Claudio da Rocha Miranda Filho (Rock World / Casa 09).
Tatiana Zaccaro emphasized the strong performance of business centers like Riocentro and Farmasi Arena, highlighting Rio de Janeiro’s potential for hosting large-scale events. “We have even exported event formatting models, but there is still room to grow,” she said.
Marcelo Monfort highlighted the public sector’s role as a partner of private initiatives. “We are open in all 92 municipalities, promoting actions and events that develop the regions. Through ICMS tax exemptions, we facilitate activities and sponsorships,” he explained.
Roberta Kelab shared the Festival Vale do Café experience, which transformed historical farms into tourist attractions and farm hotels, generating income, preserving heritage, and creating jobs, thanks to collaboration with the state government.
Moderator Claudio da Rocha Miranda Filho emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences. “Apresenta is a hub that facilitates, connects, inspires, and overflows opportunities, benefiting events like Rock the Mountain, which mobilizes cities such as Petrópolis, Areal, Três Rios, and Paraíba do Sul,” he concluded.
