Turkish Airlines hosts final of the world’s largest amateur golf tournament

Turkish Airlines concludes the 10th edition of the world’s largest amateur golf tournament in Antalya.

Organized by Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more destinations than any other according to Guinness World Records®, the grand final of the 10th Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup took place at the Gloria Golf Resort in Antalya from November 17 to 21. Recognized as the largest corporate amateur golf tournament in the world, the event has become one of the most prestigious on the international golf calendar.

In 2025, more than 10,000 competitors took part in 122 rounds across 83 countries, including Brazil, where the tournament was held in São Paulo. The winners of the São Paulo stage traveled with Turkish Airlines in business class to compete in the grand final. Over the past decade, the tournament has completed more than 750 stages in 85 countries and 130 destinations, bringing together over 60,000 amateur golfers.

The 2025 gross champion was Adeel Shafqat of Pakistan, who secured the title with 151 strokes, seven over par.

In the Gold TAWGC Category, Jose Garcia San Juan of the United Arab Emirates claimed victory with 73 stableford points over two rounds. Seifeddine Zarzour of Algeria finished second, followed by Abdul Rehman Qureshi of Pakistan in third place.

The Silver Category winner was Agustin Valdes Kato of Mexico, scoring 78 stableford points across two rounds. Michael Sharaiha of Jordan took second place, and Wang Fan of China placed third.

The Senior Vice President of Sales at Turkish Airlines (Region I), Ahmet Harun Baştürk, emphasized that the tournament strengthens the bonds the airline builds with passengers and partners worldwide. He noted that the final once again demonstrated how the event has evolved into a global brand platform and highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting sports internationally.

This edition brought together 120 amateur golfers from several countries in the decisive stage held in Antalya, a city recognized as an international golf hub thanks to its specialized resort infrastructure, courses designed by renowned professionals and year-round outdoor-friendly climate.
