Every season shift brings new trends — and some timeless classics back in the spotlight. Fashion and lifestyle influencer Lara Akel shared her essential tips for building a wardrobe full of personality for the upcoming fall season.
Shades of Brown
Brown dominated fashion conversations throughout last year and shows no signs of slowing down. It balances sophistication with an effortlessly relaxed mood. “I love layering different shades of the color, investing in brown coats and accessories for a dynamic, well-balanced look,” says Lara.
Red
Red is one of the strongest choices for special occasions this fall — think galas, weddings, and intimate dinners. The color makes a statement on its own, so Lara recommends keeping accessories minimal to let the outfit breathe and remain cohesive.
Vintage Floral Print
The vintage floral print works for virtually any occasion and brings a classic, slightly romantic sensibility without sacrificing sex appeal. It’s a confident step away from all-neutral dressing. “I love finishing the look with metallic or crystal accessories — they really reinforce that old-fashion vibe,” Lara explains.
Pink
Intense pink sets the romantic tone of the season and works equally well as the hero piece or as an accent through accessories. Lara’s approach is to tone down the ruffles and volume that often accompany the shade, opting instead for a more structured silhouette that adds sophistication.
Reinvented All-Black
The most iconic combination in fashion gets a modern upgrade this fall. Rather than playing it safe with simple all-black basics, Lara suggests using the palette as a canvas for metallic embellishments, unexpected cutouts, or asymmetric designs. “I’ve been loving pieces with metallic detail applications. The result feels fresh and makes for a reliable choice for evening events,” she says.
