The adidas x Artemisi Taekwondo Mei W redefines the classic silhouette with 3D design, metallic finishes and a conceptual biomechanical vision.
adidas Originals has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Brazilian high fashion label Artemisi, led by creative director Mayari Jubini. This is adidas’ first collaboration with a Brazilian couture brand — and Artemisi’s debut in footwear. The adidas x Artemisi Taekwondo Mei W launches on December 5, blending innovation, style and technical mastery.
The design reimagines adidas’ classic Taekwondo silhouette through futuristic shapes, metallic effects and biomechanical inspiration. The shoe embodies the connection between human anatomy and engineered design, symbolizing strength, protection and harmony between body and machine.
“I wanted to explore the future beyond the obvious—creating a form that merges humanity and technology. The metallic reliefs express this duality between biology and engineering,” says Mayari Jubini.
Innovation through structure
adidas engineers employed High Frequency Welding (HF Welding) to achieve the precise 3D construction without stitches or glue, ensuring comfort and lightweight design. This advanced process reproduced Artemisi’s signature molded textures and metallic depth, bridging fashion innovation and athletic performance.
Fashion meets performance
The campaign, creatively directed by Mayari Jubini, was photographed by Mar+Vin and stars Brazilian influencer Jade Picon. With metallic corsets, sculptural shapes and iconic adidas pieces, the shoot visualizes the fusion of art, couture and sport. A handcrafted metallic totem designed by Mayari symbolizes the transition between solid and liquid, representing the collection’s fluid aesthetic.
