At the Brazilian Cinema Festival, Alexandre Birman’s Magnolia sandal dazzled with exclusive editions and celebrity appearances.
The Alexandre Birman brand took center stage on the red carpet of the Brazilian Cinema Festival, held on March 17 at the iconic Gustavo Capanema Building in Rio de Janeiro. The event celebrated the creative power of Brazilian cinema and marked Conspiração’s 35th anniversary, in partnership with Elo.
The highlight of the evening was the Magnolia sandal, known for its asymmetric design and sculptural bow, embodying the brand’s modern femininity. For the occasion, it appeared in special editions featuring new colorways: Golden, Graphite, Flame, and Black (heel 100), and Luna, Golden, Graphite, and Black (heel 85).
Among the celebrities who chose the design were Cléo Pires, Grazi Massafera, Marjorie Estiano, Flávia Alessandra, Cris Vianna, Valentina Herszage, Vanessa Giacomo, Dira Paes, Yanna Lavigne, Isabella Santoni, Alanis Guillen, Dandara Mariana, and Lele Burnier. Others, such as Debora Bloch, Carolina Dieckmann, Leticia Colin, Thaila Ayala, Alice Braga, and Lenny Niemeyer, also selected different designs from the brand.
Combining craftsmanship and sophisticated design, Alexandre Birman’s participation highlighted the bond between fashion, art, and culture, reaffirming the brand’s presence both internationally and within Brazil’s cultural scene.
The evening also featured a mapping projection displaying scenes from Brazilian films from various regions, and a surprise performance by a renowned Brazilian artist. The event’s setting in the modernist Gustavo Capanema Building, designed by Lúcio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer with consultancy by Le Corbusier, added symbolic weight to the celebration.
