Sequins, slits, and unisex tees: designer Verônica Hime of Via Boho champions playful excess to hit Carnival in comfort.
For Verônica, Carnival is the time to pause the day-to-day “balance” rulebook. “If balance is necessary for everyday looks, at Carnival you can step away from the obvious aesthetic, leave harmony behind, and go straight into creative excess,” she says.
In other words: don’t be afraid to overdo it. Whether you go for an irreverent costume or a color-saturated outfit, she points to one unmistakable star of the season: shine.
Carnival is made for sparkle
Year after year, glitter and sequins keep growing across street parties and samba celebrations. They show up on tops, shorts, dresses, headpieces, and accessories, in both crafted looks and DIY customizations.
Even with the maximalist mood, Verônica highlights a practical priority: comfort. The goal is an outfit that lets you dance, walk, and stay out for hours while still feeling confident.
Gold, silver, and bold colorways
Via Boho’s 2026 picks include sequin dresses, skirts, and shorts. Classic gold and silver remain strong, joined by vivid shades like red, blue, and green.
Cutouts and slits bring a more fashion-forward edge, adding movement and attitude to each look.
Unisex tees with samba energy
This year, the designer also created unisex T-shirts in multiple colors and phrases, featuring playful illustrations inspired by samba, Carnival, and the sea.
