Miami’s glow hits the runway: Carol Bassi unveils Resort I with Art Deco cues, pastel shades and warm-weather fabrics—out now in stores and online.
Brazilian label Carol Bassi has introduced the first Resort capsule within its summer collection, Destinos. Named Resort I, the drop draws from Miami’s beachside energy and sunlit mood, translating the city’s spirit into versatile, polished pieces designed for hot days.
According to Anna Carolina Bassi, the brand’s co-founder and creative director, a vacation-focused release is part of the label’s annual rhythm. “Every year we launch a collection designed for summer holidays. This time, we chose sunny destinations as our starting point,” she says. Miami, she adds, feels personal—and its link to the Art Deco District, pastel tones and bright atmosphere made it a natural choice.
Art Deco, reimagined
Architectural references show up in a shirt and a jumpsuit featuring the exclusive Sunny Day print. Built from an Art Deco–inspired element, the motif was developed on a fluid, crinkled viscose base to keep the look airy and summer-ready.
The same design returns in a different form through richelieu embroidery on pure linen. The technique appears on a dress and the Scarlett shirt, combining a crafted finish with the capsule’s resort polish.
Pastel palette, heat-friendly fabrics
Color is central to the story, with shades associated with the city—dusty pink, aqua green, champagne beige and camel—running throughout the capsule. They stand out on the Gaia top, made in a striped knit with “Sunny Isles” embroidery, nodding to Miami’s coastal area.
Fabric choices focus on comfort without sacrificing structure: crinkled viscose, pure linen, tailored bases with a natural handfeel and twill. The goal is an easy wardrobe that transitions from daytime plans to evening moments.
Key pieces: shorts, trousers and nautical hints
Among the highlights is the Jessie bermuda short, designed with a skirt-like silhouette, feminine volume and a nautical reference. The capsule also brings several trouser options, including an off-white twill style with ochre topstitching and front pockets, plus the Letícia linen trousers with a front wrap detail.
The Scarlett style rounds out the selection with a comfortable fit and a deep front pleat, reinforcing the capsule’s emphasis on wearable, mix-and-match summer dressing.
