LINI, a Brazilian women’s fashion brand, takes part in the first edition of Zwanga Fashion Week, held from December 2 to 6 in Amapá. The Afro-Amazonian fashion event was created as a cultural movement connecting the periphery to the national stage, celebrating the work of Black, peripheral, quilombola, and riverside women by promoting education, visibility, and income generation.

Through a diverse program featuring independent brands and creative collectives, Zwanga Fashion Week aims to strengthen the Afro-Amazonian fashion ecosystem and female peripheral entrepreneurship, supporting more than 250 local businesses during the week.

The event unfolds across peripheral, quilombola, and riverside territories, turning communities into catwalks. The opening at Mario Quirino State School includes discussions with students and families. Beyond fashion shows, the program offers lectures, panels with stylists and researchers, art and photography exhibitions, and the 2nd Sustainable Afronegócios and Creative Economy Fair of Peripheral Amazonia. The closing show will combine music, ancestry, and Afro-Amazonian culture.

LINI actively supports the initiative by donating fabrics, contributing financially, and helping organize the event. “We are very happy to participate in this special moment and support women and fashion businesses in Amapá,” says Eduardo Faci, the brand’s founder and CEO.

The Zwanga Social Impact Institute, led by stylist and social organizer Rejane Soares, won the first edition of the Fenômenos Academy 2025, a program by the Fenômenos Foundation that supports social movements across Brazil. The support also made Zwanga’s fashion show possible and solidified its partnership with LINI and the foundation.

This collaboration reinforces LINI’s commitment to fashion as a tool for inclusion, social transformation, and cultural impact, promoting representation and visibility for peripheral Black, quilombola, and riverside women through identity expression.
