Renner’s new limited collection celebrates women artisans from Ilha do Ferro (AL) with sustainable fashion and social impact.
Inspired by the poetic craftsmanship of this Alagoas community, Renner’s new capsule collection bridges fashion, art, and social responsibility. Developed with Instituto Lojas Renner, the initiative highlights local knowledge and celebrates women’s creativity during International Women’s Month.
The brand’s design team immersed themselves in the Art Ilha cooperative to learn the embroidery techniques and symbols unique to the region, such as fish, moons, and the traditional “Boa-Noite” stitch. Every piece reflects the identity and artistry of Ilha do Ferro’s women.
The result is a dialogue between modern and artisanal aesthetics. Vibrant colors appear in youth and kids collections, while adult pieces feature soft, neutral tones inspired by the island’s textures. Linen, BCI-certified cotton, and recycled metals emphasize the brand’s sustainable fashion commitment.
“We wanted each piece to carry the poetry of Ilha do Ferro, reinterpreted with a contemporary look,” says Juliana Frasca, Renner’s Style Director.
Beyond design, the project creates lasting local value. Instituto Lojas Renner supported the renovation of Art Ilha’s headquarters, benefiting around 500 residents. Part of the collection’s profit will go back to the community to strengthen sustainable growth.
The collection is available now, priced between R$79.90 and R$299.90, both online and in select Renner stores.
