Blumenau hosts 200 breweries and 900 labels from across Brazil with unlimited tasting on a single ticket, March 4–7.
Brazil’s Beer Capital is gearing up for the biggest free-tasting beer event in Latin America. The Degusta Cervejas do Brasil (Taste the Beers of Brazil) takes over the Parque Vila Germânica in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, from March 4 to 7, bringing together around 200 breweries from 15 states across all regions of the country — and 900 different beer labels on offer.
One ticket, unlimited beer
The concept is as straightforward as it is appealing: a single ticket grants access to unlimited tastings throughout the evening. The event runs from 7 PM to 11 PM each night, and tickets are available in single-day, weekend, and four-day passport formats.
Ticket holders also receive free access to the Brazilian Beer Festival, held simultaneously at the same venue.
A level playing field for breweries
One of the event’s defining features is its commitment to equality among participating breweries. Every brand gets the same booth space and presents the same number of labels — regardless of company size or history. The organizers want the spotlight firmly on the beer itself.
The goal is for the focus to be on the product, regardless of the size or history of the brewery that produces it.
More than just beer
The experience extends well beyond craft beer. At no extra cost, visitors can also sample Casa Valduga wines, coffees from Currys Coffee and Marek Torrefação, teas from Manifestea and Matchu Picchu, kombucha by Booch, liqueurs from Schluck, and spirits from Folivora Spirits. Live music and DJ sets from local acts round out the atmosphere.
