DÉTOUR SP debuts as a new sound refuge in Santa Cecília

DÉTOUR SP combines bar, restaurant, gallery and DJ booth in an intimate space led by chef Maíra Knox.

Located in a discreet upper-floor space on Ana Cintra Street in Largo de Santa Cecília, DÉTOUR SP presents itself as a sound refuge, restobar and gallery with musical curation. The venue offers low lighting, impeccable acoustics and well-spaced tables. Led by Maíra Knox, a chef trained at Institut Paul Bocuse, it operates from Wednesday to Saturday.

Gastronomy

The inventive cuisine at DÉTOUR SP blends French sophistication with local ingredients and conscious cooking. According to Maíra, “the menu brings the influences of things I like and have eaten throughout my life”. Highlights include the Bloody Mary Ceviche, tamarind-caramelized pork ribs and grilled octopus with potatoes and bacon foam.

Cocktails

The cocktail menu is curated by mixologist Alex Mesquita, featuring classic options and signature creations. Among them are combinations such as cachaça with vermouth and mango in the Mango Feedback and vodka with Aperol and tamarind in the Tamarina. Alex also works as creative director of Elena Horto in Rio de Janeiro and serves as Suntory ambassador in Brazil.

Ambience

The 200-square-meter venue accommodates around 80 people daily, always focusing on hospitality and guest proximity. The proposal emphasizes comfort, sound quality and aesthetics, creating a welcoming and intimate atmosphere.

Music

The musical curation explores low bpm, chill, jazz, funky, groove, hip hop, R&B, soulful and house, with occasional Brazilian influences. DÉTOUR SP is neither a club nor a listening bar; it is an intimate place for those who want to dive into music.

The house features two resident DJs: Rodrigo Ferrari, who designed the venue’s sound and acoustics, and Benjamin Ferreira, known for his deep musical research and ability to connect different electronic genres.

In the upcoming schedule, DÉTOUR SP welcomes Renato Cohen on Friday, the 12th, and the legendary DJ Meme on Saturday, September 13.
