Over 7 million pizzas sold in Brazil in 2025; Calabresa and Ovomaltine® top national preferences.
Domino’s Pizza, the world’s largest pizza chain, released its curious 2025 consumption report for Brazil. Operating in 96 countries with more than 22,000 stores, the brand sold over 7 million pizzas between January and December 15, reinforcing its leadership in the food service market.
More than 5 million orders were placed through direct and third-party channels, showing that pizza remains a go-to choice for all occasions — from quick lunches to festive dinners.
January 1st was the busiest day of 2025 for Domino’s, as thousands of Brazilians chose to start the new year with pizza after New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Delivery numbers were equally impressive: more than 8.5 million pizza boxes reached customers nationwide. If stacked, they would surpass the International Space Station, a tribute to Brazil’s undying love for pizza.
The brand also consumed over 900,000 liters of tomato sauce, enough to fill two semi-olympic pools.
Among favorite flavors, Calabresa retained its crown as the best-selling savory option, while Ovomaltine® continued to lead among desserts. Regionally, Rio de Janeiro ranked first in total sales, but the Lakes Region had the highest per capita consumption.
In terms of sales per store, the metropolitan area of Salvador stood out, achieving the highest proportional volume in the country with just one unit.
More than a list of numbers, Domino’s 2025 report paints a picture of how pizza remains part of Brazilians’ daily life and celebration culture.
