In Santo Antônio do Pinhal, chef Anouk Migotto’s restaurant presents a menu featuring raspberries, blueberries and blackberries until January 15.
December marks the beginning of the red fruit season in Brazil’s Serra da Mantiqueira, and with it, the 17th edition of the “Brisa & Sabor Festival” at Restaurante Donna Pinha. Until January 15, guests can enjoy a vibrant menu celebrating the region’s freshest raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, sourced from local producers.
“The freshness of red fruits is perfect for this joyful season of the year,” says chef Anouk Migotto, who curated the festival’s sweet and savory dishes designed to please all palates.
Flavors of the Mantiqueira Mountains
The menu blends red fruits with two of the house’s signature ingredients — trout and mushrooms — featuring varieties like shiitake, shimeji, Paris and portobello. Vegetarian options are also available, keeping with the restaurant’s creative and inclusive approach.
Highlights include trout, ravioli, lamb carré and prime rib as main dishes, while desserts steal the show with white chocolate petit gateau, pavlova and berry tart with white chocolate brigadeiro.
From the mountain to the table
The fruits come directly from nearby farms: blackberries from Santo Antônio do Pinhal, blueberries from Campos do Jordão, and raspberries from São Bento do Sapucaí and Gonçalves in southern Minas Gerais. This ensures fresh ingredients and celebrates regional flavors.
The drink menu features blackberry caipirinhas, gin and juice, as well as “Cerveja Acelerada,” a local craft beer created in honor of the chef. Donna Pinha also boasts one of the most complete wine cellars in the region, with national and international labels.
