Chef Paula Prandini’s Empório Jardim offers traditional Galette de Reis for Epiphany orders, with pickup in Ipanema and Jardim Botânico.
To celebrate Epiphany, the Christian feast that recalls the visit of the Three Wise Men to baby Jesus, chef Paula Prandini, from Empório Jardim, has created a classic Galette de Reis (R$ 230). [1]
The Galette de Reis is a puff pastry tart filled with almond cream, a traditional French dessert for this time of year. [1] Tradition says it must be cut into as many slices as there are people at the table, hiding a small porcelain trinket inside: whoever finds it becomes the King or Queen of the day and is believed to receive a year of abundance and blessings, as well as the mission to order and serve the Galette the following year. [1]

For Epiphany, requests can be made until January 3 (Saturday), at 12 p.m., with pickup scheduled for January 5 or 6, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. [1]
Pickup points are the units at R. Maria Quitéria, 62 – Ipanema, and R. Visconde da Graça, 51 – Jardim Botânico, in Rio de Janeiro, and delivery is also available. [1][3][4][5]
