Since March 2025, Lecadô‘s coxinha has won over fans across Brasileirão, Libertadores, and Rio derbies at the stadium’s 56 bars.
One year into its partnership with Maracanã, one of the world’s most iconic stadiums, Rio de Janeiro snack brand Lecadô is celebrating a milestone. As the official supplier of savory snacks at all 56 bars in the Maracanã and Maracanãzinho complex, the brand has become a fixture of the matchday experience for Brazilian football fans and sports enthusiasts alike.
The partnership launched in March 2025 and has already spanned the Campeonato Carioca (Rio State Championship), the Brasileirão (Brazilian Serie A), the Copa do Brasil, and the Copa Libertadores, as well as basketball and volleyball events at Maracanãzinho. Thousands of units were sold throughout the year, with the coxinha — a Brazilian deep-fried chicken dough dumpling — leading sales. Known for its light dough, generous filling, and crispy crust, it shared the menu with kibbe and ham-and-cheese croquettes.
From the concourse to the press box
To mark the anniversary, Lecadô hosted a special activation in the press cabins and stands during the Flamengo vs. Fluminense Rio State Championship derby. Journalists, radio broadcasters, and content creators received cocktail-size coxinhas, bringing the brand closer to those who tell the stories of Rio’s biggest sporting moments.
Throughout the year, the brand also ran special activations on major matchdays and displayed branded content on the stadium’s big screens, strengthening its visibility with live audiences.

What’s ahead in 2026
With strong public reception and positive results, the brand is eyeing continued growth. New activations are planned throughout 2026, centered on tasting experiences and audience engagement at major events.
“We want to further boost the brand’s presence at major events and deepen connections during social moments, reaching different audiences through tasting and relationship experiences,” Russo added.
Founded 44 years ago and set to celebrate its 45th anniversary in 2027, Lecadô currently operates 31 stores and kiosks across Rio de Janeiro. Beyond Maracanã, the brand is present at events throughout the city and runs a semi-artisanal production facility, crafting pies, roll cakes, layered desserts, jar cakes, sweets, and savory snacks.
