Lima Cozinha Peruana debuts new menu

Lima Cozinha Peruana, in Botafogo, presents new appetizers and main dishes featuring Peruvian, Nikkei and Andean flavors.

Lima Cozinha Peruana, located in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro, has introduced new items to its menu. The additions include a selection of appetizers and main courses that reinforce the restaurant’s concept of contemporary Peruvian cuisine, with creative reinterpretations and an emphasis on fresh ingredients, especially seafood.

Among the starters, one highlight is Yuquitas (R$ 72), cassava croquettes filled with a cheese blend and served with a creamy caper and shrimp sauce. Another option is Patacones (R$ 59, four units), topped with a spicy creamy salmon tartare.

The menu also features Causa de Camarão (R$ 62), made with potato seasoned with olive oil, lemon and avocado, plus onion escabeche and panka pepper. Rounding out the appetizer list is Batata e palmito (R$ 62), which combines a palm heart and aji amarillo cream with thin layers of potato.

Among the main courses, Peixe Andino (R$ 95) brings fish in a quinoa crust, salmon romesco with rocoto and a quinoa and basil risotto. Salmão Nikkei (R$ 98) is served grilled, with a sweet and sour sauce, chaufa rice and a mix of mushrooms.

The dish called ItaloPeruano (R$ 99) combines shrimp with corn and mozzarella ravioli, blending Italian and Peruvian influences. For octopus lovers, Nuestro Pulpo (R$ 105) is served with potato tortilla, mushrooms, cheese sauce and bell pepper.

The restaurant also offers Fideuá Criolla (R$ 95), with shrimp, octopus and squid in a lemon sauce with Peruvian peppers. Another specialty is Arroz com Mariscos (R$ 115), a rice dish with Peruvian seasonings, shrimp, octopus and scallops, inspired by preparations from northern Peru.

For meat dishes, Pato Chifa (R$ 105) features duck leg confit glazed with soy honey, served with rice, almonds and pineapple. The comforting Nhoque Andino (R$ 65) comes with a creamy mushroom and huancaína sauce.
