Registrations are now open for the 2026 Folha Gastronomic Festival – Sabores da Montanha, featuring a flavorful duel between mountain and coastal chefs.
Returning from June 3 to July 26, the event is the largest food festival across the winter destinations of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais. Organized by Sabores da Montanha and Folha de S.Paulo, this fourth edition blends tradition with creativity through an unprecedented exchange between the mountain and seaside cuisines.
In 2026, the festival connects with Sabores da Praia – Ilhabela Edition, where celebrated chefs from Serra da Mantiqueira will cook coastal-inspired dishes, while seaside chefs reinterpret traditional mountain recipes. “It will be a flavorful challenge,” says organizer Reginaldo Pupo, noting that visitors will enjoy inventive dishes and a genuine culinary cultural exchange.
Last year, 81 establishments from 18 municipalities participated, including bars, cafes, breweries, and restaurants from Campos do Jordão—the festival’s central hub. This edition aims to surpass those numbers, strengthening the link between tourism and gastronomy across the Mantiqueira, Bocaina, Verde Imperial, and South Minas regions.
Registrations are open until May 16 at www.saboresdamontanha.com.br. The festival is co-organized by the Cozinha da Mantiqueira Group and Astur (Socorro Tourism Association), with institutional support from local tourism entities and the Campos do Jordão Department of Tourism.
