Nolita Roastery runs a kids’ pastry workshop on Jan 13 and 27 at NY City Center, featuring a Twix roll cake and a snack afterwards.
On January 13 and 27, Nolita Roastery at New York City Center, in Barra da Tijuca, welcomes families for its “Fantástica Fábrica de Doces” experience. The initiative expands the city’s family-friendly food-and-leisure options with a playful, hands-on activity for children.
The highlight is a kids’ pastry class led by pastry chef Felipe Appia and his team. The recipe is the Twix roll cake, made with dark and white chocolate and designed to please young participants.
Designed for children aged 6 to 14, the session lasts about one hour and combines learning with interaction. During the workshop, the mini chefs get hands-on with professional guidance, safety measures, and plenty of room for creativity.
After the class, participants enjoy a special snack. Options include a smash burger with fries or chips, or a kids’ pizza, plus drinks such as soda, mate, iced tea, or orange or lemon juice.
Limited to 20 participants per group, the activity is part of Nolita’s Fantástica Fábrica de Doces project, which has been attracting families looking for new food-focused outings in Rio.
