On February 26, VOAR — the second restaurant by Grupo Ar, located in Recife, Brazil — hosts chef Camillo Acosta for a four-hands dinner alongside resident chef Pedro Godoy. The event is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about culinary nights in the Brazilian Northeast this season.

Together, the two chefs will present a 10-course tasting menu built around refined technique, personal identity, and seasonal ingredients. Each course balances delicacy and intensity — a seamless journey from start to finish.

Who is Camillo Acosta

Camillo Acosta is the executive chef of Henry’s in Toronto, a cornerstone of the Canadian fine dining scene, listed in the Michelin Guide since 2022 and recognized by Wine Spectator for outstanding wine excellence. His cooking draws from Brazilian, Peruvian, and Mexican influences, reinterpreted through a bold contemporary lens.

Beyond Henry’s, Acosta leads CoCa, a project that reimagines Latin cuisine for the modern table. His career stands as a powerful example of how the Brazilian diaspora continues to shape global gastronomy.

Pedro Godoy’s journey

Pedro Godoy, 34, has spent more than half his life in professional kitchens. He trained in Brazil and Australia, where he deepened his connection to high gastronomy. Alongside partner Eduardo Freyre, he helms ARVO, VOAR, and TERRA — the three restaurants that have positioned Grupo Ar as a leading name in the Northeast food scene.
