Rio eatery lets customers vote the next permanent dish

Empório Farinha Pura in Botafogo is running an interactive menu this March: the most-ordered dish earns a permanent spot on the house menu.

Rio de Janeiro’s largest gourmet market in the South Zone has launched the Special Selection Menu, a concept that turns every order into a vote. Throughout March, four new dishes compete for a permanent place on the Experience Menu — and the public decides the winner.

Four dishes, one permanent seat

The lineup spans a starter, a sandwich, and two mains. The Salmon Tartare (R$ 69.90) leads with fresh salmon, ginger sauce, and Italian bread toasts — a light and refined choice. The Roast Beef Beirute (R$ 59.90) goes bold: Arab flatbread stuffed with roast beef, bacon, tomato, cheddar, soft cheese, fried eggs, and lettuce.

Among the mains, the Ratatouille with Beef Tenderloin Medallion (R$ 79.90) blends comfort and sophistication, pairing the medallion with seasonal vegetables, pomodoro sauce, and shredded mozzarella. The Salmon with Julienne Salad (R$ 99.90) brings freshness to the table, combining a salmon fillet with mixed greens, tomato, parmesan, potato sticks, heart of palm, and asparagus.

Dining as a collaborative act

The initiative reflects Farinha Pura‘s philosophy of building its culinary identity alongside its guests. By making each order count as a direct vote, the market transforms the act of dining into a creative partnership between kitchen and customer.

The Special Selection Menu is available exclusively at Farinha Pura Experiência, on the second floor of the market. At the end of March, the winning dish joins the permanent menu.
