In Rio’s Historic Center, Sobrado da Cidade celebrates summer with a menu of light, refreshing and colorful signature drinks.
With the arrival of summer and hotter days, demand grows for light, refreshing drinks with tropical flavors.
Embracing this atmosphere, Sobrado da Cidade, located in the heart of Rio de Janeiro’s Historic Center and led by chef Alice Isha, presents a cocktail menu that reflects the lightness and colors of the hottest season of the year.
The bar offers several options that are perfect to cool down on warm days, appealing to different taste profiles.
One of the highlights is the Italian Soda, a light, alcohol-free drink prepared with flavored syrup, sparkling water and ice (R$ 14,00).
Among the house classics is the Maracujá Gin, made with fresh passion fruit, gin, ginger foam, tonic water, rosemary and juniper (R$ 30,00).
The Triple Lemon caipirinha combines limão-cravo, Tahiti lime and Sicilian lemon, resulting in vibrant aromas and instant freshness (R$ 30,00).
Other suggestions include the traditional Strawberry, prepared with strawberry, mint and house-made strawberry and hibiscus syrup (R$ 30,00).
For those seeking a more striking profile, the Love Gin brings together passion fruit, hibiscus, cinnamon stick, star anise and strawberry foam (R$ 40,00).
Located at Rua do Rosário, 34, Sobrado da Cidade occupies an 1865 townhouse listed as a Historic Heritage site.
The space preserves its original architecture, featuring Dutch tiles and an impressive 23-meter wall built with whale oil.
Over the decades, the building has housed coffee and sugar warehouses, shipping companies, a hotel and a residence, accompanying the transformations of the city.
Today, it stands as a cultural and gastronomic meeting point that combines history, charm and contemporaneity.
The house becomes even more inviting for the Carioca summer, with a relaxed atmosphere and cocktails that highlight fresh ingredients.
