One of São Paulo’s most storied restaurants is bringing something special to the Easter table. Templo da Carne Marcos Bassi has announced its Easter 2026 Special Menu, featuring dishes crafted for family gatherings — available both at the restaurant and as pre-orders for home.
A legacy built on fire
Founded in 1979 by Marcos Bassi, the restaurant helped shape Brazilian barbecue culture. Bassi is credited with popularizing cuts like the fraldinha (flank steak) and the butcher’s steak in Brazil. Today, the family carries on his legacy with the same commitment to quality and open-fire cooking.
The Easter menu stays true to that identity. Every dish is prepared with premium ingredients and slow, careful technique — then packaged so guests can enjoy the same experience at home.
What’s on the menu
The standout is the Grilled Tambaqui, a whole side of Amazonian tambaqui fish cooked over charcoal and marinated with mustard, lemon, olive oil, garlic, and onion. It comes with plantain farofa and vinaigrette sauce, serving 2 to 3 people. Price: R$ 348.
The second option is the traditional Bacalhau Stew, made with roasted gadus morhua salt cod loin baked with potatoes, garlic, onion, red bell pepper, tomato, Portuguese olives, and hard-boiled eggs, finished with olive oil. Served with white rice and broccoli, it feeds 3 to 4 people at R$ 598.
