At Vena Cosmopolitan Bar, the birthday tribute focuses on two São Paulo cocktail staples that helped shape the city’s drinking culture. As a result, guests can taste tradition without losing a modern bar feel. The venue opened just a few months ago inside Grand Hyatt São Paulo.

Caju Amigo (R$ 44), created in the 1970s, leans bright, tropical, and refreshing. Meanwhile, Rabo de Galo (R$ 47) delivers a drier, sharper profile with unmistakable local character. Together, they offer a quick tour of what São Paulo has poured for generations.

Caju Amigo: cachaça, cashew, and lime

Caju Amigo mixes cachaça (Brazilian sugarcane spirit), cashew, and lime for a light, aromatic balance. That’s why it’s long been tied to easygoing meetups and warm-weather sipping. For this special run, it’s the fruit-forward choice on the celebratory list.

Rabo de Galo: the Brazilian “cousin” of Negroni

Rabo de Galo pairs cachaça with vermouth for a dry, elegant drink. Often described as the Brazilian “cousin” of the Negroni, it has become a symbol of São Paulo’s late-night bar scene. Even today, it reads like a straightforward snapshot of local bohemia.

Jean Ponce consulting and live music nights

The bar operates with consulting by Jean Ponce and presents a sleek, contemporary counter built around cocktail craft. Plus, live programming runs Thursday through Saturday from 7 pm. In other words, it’s designed as a full night out, not just a quick drink.

The lineup includes live jazz with Bruno Santanna (01/22), DJ Jorge Galvani (01/23), and jazz with Exther (01/24). This way, Vena ties music and classic cocktails to the city’s anniversary week.
