The Grão Mogol Wine Tasting highlights wines from Minas Gerais’ Espinhaço Range during Festuris 2025 in Gramado (RS).

The Government of Minas Gerais, through the State Secretariat for Culture and Tourism (Secult-MG), in partnership with the municipality of Grão Mogol and Vinícola Vale do Gongo, promotes the Grão Mogol Wine Tasting this Thursday (Nov 6) in Gramado. The event showcases wines from the Espinhaço Mountain Range and runs parallel to the Festuris tourism fair.

Minas for the World: experience and innovation

The initiative is part of “Minas for the World”, a Secult-MG program that positions the state as a hub for cultural, gastronomic, and creative tourism experiences. The partnership with Vinícola Vale do Gongo reflects the synergy between public policy and local entrepreneurship, strengthening Minas Gerais’ emerging wine industry.

“The wines produced in the Espinhaço Range embody the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of Minas Gerais. A new frontier for Brazilian winemaking is emerging in the heart of the state,” says Bárbara Botega, Secretary of Culture and Tourism of Minas Gerais.

Tourism potential and sustainable growth

Hosted at the Castelo Saint Andrews Hotel, the event highlights the tourism potential of Grão Mogol and the quality of Minas Gerais’ wines. It also launches a national initiative to position the region as a reference in wine tourism and sustainable travel.

Located in the Espinhaço Range, Brazil’s only mountain range, Grão Mogol is surrounded by natural beauty, historic cities, and 26 protected areas. The region invests in family farming and renewable energy projects, including solar and wind initiatives supported by Casa dos Ventos and Emater-MG.

The city is also part of the Centro-Sudeste Logistics Corridor, a private railway project connecting Goiás to the Port of São Mateus (ES), which will include a transshipment and storage unit in Grão Mogol. This infrastructure strengthens logistics and attracts new investments.
