Elseve Collagen Lifter debuts in Brazil with collagen peptides, claiming fuller-looking hair and long-lasting lift without stiffness from the first use.
As Elseve’s first launch of the year, L’Oréal Paris® positions the new range around a common concern: loss of hair mass and visible volume, especially in fine or thinning strands. The brand says the formula was shaped by research into Brazil’s diverse hair profiles and a highly demanding consumer base.
Why thinning changes “hair volume”
According to studies cited by L’Oréal Paris®, hair mass is closely tied to fiber diameter. That means two heads with the same number of strands can look different if one has finer fibers, which take up less space and can appear less full.
The company notes thinning can be genetic or become more noticeable over time. It may be influenced by aging, chemical processing, hormonal changes, or nutritional deficiencies, and can be addressed with targeted care routines.
How Collagen Lifter works
After microscopic analysis of hair and scalp, the brand says its scientists identified that about 4 millimeters below the surface, the hair bulb is naturally surrounded by a collagen sheath. This structure is described as helping support the fiber from within.
That insight led to a collagen-peptide “wrap” designed to bind to the hair. The technology is presented as an “exoskeleton” that supports strands from roots to ends, delivering volume with a lightweight feel and no stiffness, according to the release.
“The new line is designed for consumers who want fuller hair without heaviness, and solutions that truly address thinning and density loss.”
The statement comes from Victor Ribas, Marketing Director for Hair Care at L’Oréal Paris® in Brazil, highlighting the brand’s focus on performance claims for real-world needs.
What users reported in testing
In a quantitative test with 329 women aged 18 to 55, the brand reports that 98% felt their hair looked fuller immediately. It also states 97% perceived a rebuild in hair density and 99% reported hair feeling lighter and healthier.
The same test also mentions perceived lift, a “more mass” feel, and better performance versus participants’ usual hair-care routine.

Elseve Collagen Lifter arrives with five products and a positioning centered on lightweight volumizing. The brand also references its broader “skincare-inspired” approach to hair care, often described as skinification.
