Laser removal is the safest and most effective method to correct botched eyebrow microblading, restoring lightness and harmony to the face. The technique is recommended for brows that appear too dark, uneven, or discolored due to poorly executed pigmentation.

“Laser removal lightens or removes pigment gradually without damaging the skin. It’s the best choice when microblading negatively affects appearance,” says Karen Beringhs, artistic micropigmentation expert and international reference in aesthetic correction.

How the laser works

The procedure uses concentrated light beams to break pigment into microscopic particles naturally eliminated by the body. The most common equipment includes Q-Switched Nd:YAG lasers, effective on dark tones, and advanced picosecond lasers (Pico), which deliver faster, safer results.

Treatment generally requires 2 to 10 sessions, spaced about 30 days apart, depending on pigment depth and color.

Microneedling as a complementary technique

In some cases, professionals alternate laser sessions with microneedling, performed only after skin healing. This approach stimulates circulation and skin regeneration, speeding pigment elimination and promoting hair regrowth.

“Microneedling helps remove pigment faster, improves skin texture, and reduces the risk of residual marks,” adds Karen.

Recovery and aftercare

After treatment, mild redness, swelling, and small scabs are common but resolve within a few days. It’s important to avoid sun exposure, makeup, and harsh products to ensure proper healing.

“The correction restores softness to the gaze and creates a truly natural finish. The key is trusting qualified professionals and respecting the skin’s healing time,” concludes Karen.
