This Sunday, MPB de Primeira presents “Alma Feminina,” a free show led by Luiz Meira celebrating female power in Brazilian music. The performance will take place at 7 p.m. at Beiramar Shopping’s central atrium in Florianópolis. Designed as a musical journey through the sensitivity and strength of women in MPB, the show features iconic songs that helped shape Brazil’s cultural identity. Luiz Meira will be joined by musicians Amanda Anancio, Narayana, and Cadu Duarte, creating an intimate and emotional atmosphere. The setlist includes favorites such as “Maria, Maria” by Milton Nascimento, “Vitoriosa” by Ivan Lins, “Ovelha Negra” by Rita Lee, “Dona” by Sá & Guarabyra, “A Loba” by Alcione, and Meira’s own “Respeito é Bom.” According to Juliana Ohlweiler Duarte de Oliveira, Beiramar Shopping’s marketing manager, the initiative reflects the mall’s ongoing commitment to bringing culture closer to people. “Music has a unique power to connect. Hosting a show like ‘Alma Feminina,’ which celebrates women’s voices in MPB, allows us to create moments of emotion and cultural appreciation.”
