Andrea Bocelli performed two concerts at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu with arias, classics and tributes to Brazil.
The tenor appeared on November 21 and 22 in São Paulo, conducted by Carlo Bernini, leading the Theatro São Pedro Orchestra and the Orchestra and Choir of the São Paulo State Music School Tom Jobim – EMESP.
In the first half, he captivated the audience with a selection of arias. Alongside soprano Marian Battistelli, he performed “Tace il Labbro”, “O Soave Fanciulla” and “Brindisi”.
The second part featured contemporary and popular songs. Bocelli surprised the audience by including “Acquarello”, widely known in Brazil in Toquinho’s version as “Aquarela”.
Paying tribute to the country, violinist Rusanda Panfili played excerpts of “Tico Tico no Fubá”.
Bocelli then shared the stage with Sandy, his longtime partner in Brazil, to sing “Vivo Per Lei”.
American singer Pia Toscano delivered a powerful rendition of “All by Myself” and later joined Bocelli for “Can’t Help Falling in Love”.
The tour is presented by SulAmérica and Rede D’Or, with production by Dançar Marketing, responsible for all of Andrea Bocelli’s visits to Brazil.
