For the first time, audiences in Brazil will experience the music of Anoushka Shankar, one of the world’s leading sitarists and most influential contemporary artists. With 14 Grammy nominations and a career spanning over three decades, she will perform in Curitiba (March 21), Porto Alegre (March 22), and São Paulo (March 25), marking her Brazilian debut. Tickets are on sale now.
The tour kicks off at the renowned Curitiba Jazz Sessions and celebrates 30 years of the artist’s career. Trained by her father, the legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar, and sister to singer Norah Jones, Anoushka merges Indian classical roots with a global musical language through her signature innovation and improvisation.
A trailblazer in every sense, she was the youngest and first woman to receive the British House of Commons Shield, honored by the Royal Academy of Music, and the first Indian musician to perform and present at the Grammy Awards. In 2024, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Music from the University of Oxford.
