The city of Miracema, located inland in the state of Rio de Janeiro, is gearing up for one of the most diverse cultural events of the year. The Parque de Exposições will host Marvvila, Buchecha, Ara Ketu, Dudu Nobre and Felipe Araújo, alongside regional acts and independent artists yet to be announced. Around 12,000 attendees are expected over the three-day festival.

Admission to the main stage is free. Optional paid areas — a frontstage and an all-inclusive VIP section — offer enhanced comfort and stage proximity for those who want a premium experience.

Four cultural pillars

The festival is organized around four axes. The Music Festival is the centerpiece, celebrating the richness of Brazilian rhythms. The dance programming is curated by Carlinhos de Jesus, one of Brazil’s most acclaimed ballroom dance choreographers.

The Literary Fair, led pedagogically by Mário Frazão, will feature author panels, talks, workshops and a book fair. The Performing Arts axis, a partnership between LEP Produções and Alumbrar under the direction of actor and writer Yke Leon, presents the 1st Brasil de Todos os Ritmos Short Theater Festival. Submissions are open through May 8 at https://forms.gle/cTCa6biVmAwLGuo87.

The Brazilian Folklore Dance Competition invites public school students aged 10 to 18 to perform traditional dances such as carimbó, frevo, quadrilha and boi folclórico — a hands-on celebration of Brazil’s cultural heritage.

Culture beyond the capital

Choosing Miracema was a deliberate move. Festival founder Tayana dos Santos, of LEP Produções, explains: “The choice of the city was made specifically to decentralize away from the capitals. It’s about bringing a major event to different places that deserve a spot on the map of great cultural events — and the city is thrilled to receive us.”

The festival is also expected to boost the local economy through increased tourism, commerce and services during the event days. As a social commitment, the organization will collect non-perishable food donations to support solidarity actions in the municipality.

Revival with purpose

Originally conceived in 2019, the festival held its debut edition in 2022 after the pandemic. For Tayana, this return carries special meaning: “Coming back now has a different flavor — one of revival and of greater appreciation for popular Brazilian culture across its many artistic forms: music, dance, literature and the performing arts.”

By bringing together literature, theater, dance and music, we can inspire young people, generate jobs and income, energize the local economy and offer entertainment for the whole region. That is Brasil de Todos os Ritmos.

The festival is officially sponsored by Enel, through the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Culture and the Creative Economy, and has institutional support from the Municipality of Miracema. Production is by LEP Eventos.
