During Women’s Month, Badi Assad premieres “Parte de Tudo Isso” in São Paulo with songs by top Brazilian artists like Chico César and Adriana Calcanhotto.
Badi Assad takes the stage at Bona Casa de Música in São Paulo on March 4, Wednesday, at 8 PM, for the launch concert of her new album Parte de Tudo Isso (Part of All of This). The show is part of the celebrations marking her 35-year career and falls during Women’s Month, underscoring her journey as an artist in constant creative motion.
An Album Built on Poetry and Affection
Parte de Tudo Isso gathers original songs written by composers from Badi’s own generation: Chico César, Nando Reis, Zeca Baleiro, Zélia Duncan, Ana Costa, Moska, Adriana Calcanhotto, Ceumar, André Abujamra, Pedro Luís, and Otto. It is through the poetic depth of each lyric that Badi shapes her musical delivery, diving into the essence of every song.
Produced by Marcus Preto and Tó Brandileone, the album asserts the song as a space for listening, encounter, and invention — hallmarks of Badi Assad’s artistic language.
On Stage: Voice, Guitar, and Movement
The concert invites the audience into a space of deep listening. There are moments of silence and delicacy, where words reverberate inward, and others where rhythm carries the crowd with lightness and pulse. The feminine theme runs through the show not as a statement, but as lived experience — in the repertoire, in the presence of the body on stage, and in the way sound is inhabited.
A Long-Standing Female Partnership
For this special evening, Badi performs alongside percussionist Simone Sou, a longtime artistic partner with whom she has shared stages across Brazil, the United States, and Europe. Together, they also co-wrote “Feminina”, a song embraced by women’s circles across Brazil as an anthem of communion, strength, and presence.
Parte de Tudo Isso opens a new chapter: contemporary, affectionate, feminine, and open to dialogue between worlds.
Special Guests Expand the Cultural Horizon
The show also features American composer and guitarist Kevin Callahan and Moldovan accordionist Oleg Fateev. Their presence reinforces the cross-cultural dialogue that runs through Badi Assad’s entire body of work, without losing the intimate and deeply human character of the performance.
With an international career spanning more than 50 countries across nearly 200 tours, Badi Assad marks 35 years not as a retrospective, but as a living journey still unfolding.
