Mari Fernandez joins Benzadeus on “Erro Calculado”, the focus track from Vol. 2 of “Na Rota do Benza no Pelô”, out January 23.
On January 23, the Brasília-based pagode group releases Vol. 2 of the DVD project “Na Rota do Benza no Pelô” across all digital platforms. Recorded in Pelourinho, Salvador’s historic district, the new chapter extends one of the most defining moments in the band’s trajectory.
Three brand-new tracks
The EP arrives with three unreleased songs. At the same time, it keeps the breezy, personality-driven vibe that has become the group’s calling card. The tracklist includes “Erro Calculado” (feat. Mari Fernandez), “Pimenta da Baiana”, and “Perdeu Mané”.
“Erro Calculado” sets the tone
As the centerpiece of this phase, “Erro Calculado” blends Benzadeus’ pagode swing with Mari Fernandez’s forró and sertanejo power. Therefore, the song leans into irony, desire, and intense relationships, matching the project’s street-level energy.
“This song feels very true. It’s fun, it’s real, and it speaks directly to anyone who’s lived a relationship with no promises, but plenty of intensity.”
A direct sequel to Vol. 1
Vol. 2 follows the first installment, released late last year, which drew strong attention. That earlier phase highlighted a more romantic side, led by “Engajamento” (feat. J. Eskine), with over 1.5 million views on YouTube, and “Modo Ioiô”, a collaboration with Olodum.
For the band, recording in Pelourinho marked a turning point. In addition, it deepened their connection to Bahia’s cultural pulse and the audience surrounding the DVD.
Career momentum and Prêmio Multishow
The release lands during a standout run. Benzadeus recently won Prêmio Multishow, pushing pagode and Brazil’s Center-West region into the national spotlight. With millions of streams to date, the group continues to grow as a leading name in Brazilian pagode.
