Brazilian guitarist Andre Correa releases Seasons, turning his Brazil-to-Berklee path into seven tracks blending contemporary jazz and Brazilian music, fueled by faith and growth.
A personal musical story
A Berklee College of Music graduate from Boston, Andre Correa delivers an original, intimate debut with Seasons. Far from technical showpieces, it maps his life chapters: leaving Brazil, US challenges, and spiritual evolution.
Open harmonies and lyrical improv fuse contemporary jazz with Brazilian music. Recorded with fellow Boston journey musicians, it feels raw and mature.
Tracks that tell the tale
“Sonhos” revisits teen dreams: marriage and Berklee studies. “First Step” captures the faith leap from Brazil, blending fear and boldness.
“Slow It Down” mirrors the whirlwind first semester pace. “Surprise on the Way” cheers unexpected joys post-milestones.
“Randy” honors professor Randy Roos, whose contest tip won Andre funds for a key semester.
Solitude emerges from a cycle’s end: final classes, graduation countdown, a mature solitude of closure.
It closes with “Change of Plans,” about heading to Orlando over New York, faith-led.
Seasons is now streaming on all digital platforms.
